Notionette is a mock case study: a self-initiated brand for a fictional Notion template studio selling systems for creators. I wrote the brief, then built everything it called for, from the blackletter identity and brand boards to the graphics, social content, and Pinterest marketing. It’s what I make when the only client is the idea.
Blackletter, a little sacred, a little unhinged.
A gothic logotype with a four-point star, built to feel like a zine cover and a church window at the same time.
The N, set in red.
A stripped-down mark for avatars, favicons, and anywhere the full name wouldn’t fit, and it still reads as Notionette at a glance.
ANOTHER RENDITION OF THE BRAND BOARD
BRIEF
Create a brand for a Notion template studio that stands out in a market full of pastel, minimal, and interchangeable. The audience is creators who want their systems to look like they have a point of view.
ANSWER
Four words set the direction: Gothic, Editorial, Devotional, Unfiltered. Religious iconography meets editorial grit: high-contrast statuary, red bleeding through black and white, halftone texture, and typewriter type sitting next to elegant serifs. Black, white, grays, and one very committed red.
The graphics took the brand board and turned the volume up: warped grids, torn-paper collage, red lipstick, lacquered nails, and bold type stacked like a protest poster. “Eat, Sleep, Create, Repeat” became a kind of manifesto, which fits a brand built for people who make things for a living.
The rest of the gfx design imagery is used for Notion template elements and custom website decoration.

Tech tips don’t have to look like a help desk. For this 10-slide carousel, I wrote and designed a walkthrough that helps creators clear the gigabytes their Claude desktop app quietly hoards, from what’s safe to delete to the one folder you should never touch.
Built on the Notionette system: step-by-step slides, code paths set like evidence, and a save-this-for-later closer. The tips are real and tested on my own machine, even if the brand is a concept.
A headline that picks a fight with every other aesthetic template, backed by specifics (47 properties, 12 integrated databases) so the claim holds up.
Pinterest is a search engine wearing a mood board. This pin puts the exact phrase people type into the headline, then gives it an editorial frame worth clicking.
“If your Notion dashboard is still a pretty vision board, you’re missing the point.” One line names the problem, and the product is the answer.
Clear product name, clear audience, clear proof. Built for the pinner who’s ready to buy and just needs to know exactly what’s inside.

Five pins, five angles, one product. Each pin tests a different way into the same Brand Bible template: the bold claim, the search term, the pain point, the lifestyle mockup, and the straight product shot.
Every pin stays on-system (blackletter, typewriter type, deep red, and a lot of black), but the copy does the real work. Pinterest rewards keywords and clarity, so every headline was written to be found first and clicked second.

A brand needs something to sell, so I built the shelf: Notion AI Secrets, a reference guide to the hidden and underused capabilities inside Notion’s AI suite; The First System, a starter kit of templates, a 14-day roadmap, and blueprint docs for people staring at a blank page; and The Custom Agent, a starter kit for building AI agents inside Notion.
Each product got its own cover, mockups, and copy, all pulled from the same brand system so the shelf reads as one collection.
