PIXELLE

BRIEF

Pixelle was an iPhone wallpaper brand I created, designed, and sold. The brief was mine to write: build a brand for the most personal screen people own, one that feels loud, glossy, and a little bit extra, and make every collection instantly recognizable as Pixelle.

I handled all of it: the name, the identity, the wallpaper collections, the mockups, and the storefront.

PINK, LOUD & GLOSSY

A chunky script logo with a double outline, sparkle and butterfly accents, Neue Machina paired with Montserrat, and a palette that goes from cherry red to bubblegum without apologizing. Built to look good at thumbnail size and even better full screen.

The moodboard set the tone: glossy candy, red roses, heart-shaped everything, and a dose of 2000s pop confidence. From there, every decision had to pass one test: would someone want to look at this a hundred times a day?

Wallpapers live behind the clock, the widgets, and a constant stream of notifications, so each design was built with the lock screen in mind, not just the artboard.

Six collections, six moods: Acid Grain, Bubble Skies, Barbie Glitter, Bubble Glass, Rainbow Party, and Kitschmas Classics. Each one was designed as a set of high-res iPhone wallpapers, packaged with its own title card and mockups so buyers could see exactly what their phone would look like before they bought.

Pixelle has since closed its shop, but the brand still does what it was built to do: make people stop scrolling and want the thing on their screen.
