From 2017 to 2019, I helped build the official voice of Power Rangers: Legacy Wars at nWay, turning one of the most beloved franchises on the planet into a mobile and console fighting game fans could actually hear. As content lead and Assistant Creative Director, I wrote the scripts, ran the content team, and made sure every trailer, commercial, and social post sounded like it belonged in Saban’s universe. Two full-cycle games shipped. Zero lines out of character.

Every franchise needs a villain worth fearing. For Power Rangers: Legacy Wars, that villain was Lord Drakkon, the evil alternate-universe Tommy Oliver from BOOM! Studios' comics, making his first leap off the page and into a video game, with his debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2017.
I co-wrote the script with the creative director, helped steer the creative, and then stepped into the booth and voiced it myself. Fans already knew exactly who Drakkon was, so every line had to live up to the version in their heads while making sure newcomers felt the threat instantly.
It premiered on the main stage at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, in front of the people who would notice if we got a single word wrong.
We didn’t.

Legacy Wars proved fans wanted to fight. Battle for the Grid gave them the full arena: a 3v3 tag-team fighting game for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and the first fighting game of its console generation with fully cross-platform multiplayer.
As Assistant Creative Director and content lead at nWay, I carried the Power Rangers voice from phones to consoles. I wrote social copy, scripts, and nationwide commercials, led content meetings with the design and writing teams, and kept fans in the loop through the official site’s “What’s New” updates, Instagram, and Twitter.
Battle for the Grid was the second full-cycle game I shipped with the team, and the one that put the franchise back on living room screens.

A fighting game lives and dies by its community, and a Power Rangers community notices everything. The official Legacy Wars site was where the game introduced itself and where fans came back every time something changed.
I wrote the website copy that set the stakes (Rita Repulsa has infected the Morphin Grid, and it’s on you to stop her) and ran the “What’s New” and news feed that kept players coming back: release notes, balance changes, new mission reveals, developer diaries, and every new Ranger drop. The job was turning dense patch details into posts people actually wanted to read, with lines like “Zordon is watching” doing the heavy lifting.
It paired with the game’s Instagram and Twitter to keep fans informed, hyped, and arguing about tier lists for two years straight.
