STUDIO BRITTANY

V1: THE BUBBLY ERA

✷

Studio Brittany is my own creative studio, which makes me the strategist, designer, writer, and (the toughest) client. This page covers three versions of the brand: the pink-and-red bubbly original, the punk era that tore it all down, and the 3.0 identity taking shape now. Same studio, three very different outfits. Designed for double-takes.

Every studio has a first draft. Mine was pink, red, and bubbly: soft shapes, loud colors, and a lot of optimism. It was the first version of Studio Brittany the world saw, and I designed every piece of it myself.

Looking back, it’s the brand of someone figuring out exactly who she wanted to be. Which is exactly why it’s here.

THE REBRAND

V2: THE PUNK ERA

Then the bubbles popped. V2 traded pink and soft edges for red, black, and attitude: a punk-era mark with sharper lines and zero interest in being cute. It was the moment Studio Brittany stopped trying to be liked and started trying to be remembered, and the logo had to look like it could survive a mosh pit.

A punk brand needed a website with the same energy, so I designed and built one on Squarespace and wrote every word on it. Red and black, loud type, and copy that didn’t ask permission.

It pushed Squarespace past its templates, carried the studio’s services and voice for years, and did exactly what a website should: made people stop scrolling long enough to remember the name. Then the studio grew up, and V3 took over.

REBRAND II

STUDIO BRITTANY V3

BRIEF

V3 is the version that finally matches the work. I retired the punk system entirely and rebuilt Studio Brittany around Key Lime and Grape, a Glassure, Atelier Fleur, and Satoshi type system, and a dry, deadpan, craft-first voice.

The new SB monogram does the heavy lifting: two letters, one star, and enough curve to feel like a signature without losing its edge. Designed for double-takes, and built to hold up everywhere it lands.

A brand system only works if it survives real use. The “meet brittany” introduction was one of the first pieces built in V3: layered photos, patterned frames, a serif-meets-script headline, and a monospace body that keeps things grounded.

It’s the brand’s personality in one frame: polished, a little chaotic on purpose, and impossible to mistake for anyone else.

Then I turned the identity into a working content system: a library of social templates for Studio Brittany’s recurring topics, from brand and business to email marketing, font pairings, website design, and creative marketing ideas.

Every template shares the same bones: bold headline cards, stamped labels, starbursts, and the full palette dialed all the way up. That way the feed looks designed on purpose, even on the days it’s built in ten minutes. The new Studio Brittany website is in progress and follows the same rules.
